As with anything in this world, you get what you pay for. You can buy the Cadillac or you can buy the Ford Tempo, both will get you from A to B but one will last longer, drive better and have better resale value.
It is the same with landscape companies. Every year we see another dozen “fly-by-night” operations spring up and begin marketing their services in the Lower Mainland. Most often these will be several employees and a pickup truck attempting to install landscapes with sub-par equipment and little to no experience. But they are cheap! Which makes them attractive to homeowners looking to save a little money.
The problem is you will likely end up spending more money in the long run to fix mistakes done by an inexperienced contractor. We have lost count of the number of times we have had to rip up an entire yard because drainage and number of other key elements simply were not taken into account during construction.
